Base layouts

Hey,

i always see layouts declared for one side. Is that because the attackers profile is so much different or because the building placement is different?

I struggle to find a variety of empire layouts for each level wich are at least backed by a few posters. Not that i don't like to tinker with my own base but i like to compare the results of different layouts i find somewhere else.

To answer the first question, YES! Each faction has specific priorities when defending. Rebs have to deal with and plan for the ATAT primarily, while imps should be less dependent on rockets. BUT this is just an example plenty of other info on the defending portion of this site.

different attacker profiles lead to different defensive strategies.

in short:

rebels rely on heavies + meddroids combo, so as imperial defender you have to focus on beating those red trash bins

imps use more mechs (in particular the terrifying MHCs aka crabs and rebs' biggest nightmare - Elite ATAT), so as rebel defender you focus on defeating mechs (e.g. by using more rocket turrets)
